ESTUARY OF CALAMITY was formed in Oct of 1992 under the name NECROLATRY.
The 1st demo, "Within the Shroud of Misery", was released
in early 1993 with original members Ash Thomas (bass/vocals), Jesse
Wilson (drums), & Adam Ellis (guitars). In May of that year
the band decided to change the name to ESTUARY OF CALAMITY for a
more original approach, & also added a 2nd guitarist Brad Howard.
In December of 93 the 2nd demo, "Losing Myself In the Cryptic",
was recorded & released in early 94. Later that year, keyboardist/flutist,
Leslie Anderson, was added to the line-up as well.
In late 1995 the band took a hiatus due to numerous reasons, but
reformed later in the autumn of 1997 with all of the latter line-up.
A one song promo was released in early 98 to re-establish the bands
name throughout the underground scene. In 1999 the band began recording
the debut fullength, "The Sentencing". "The Sentencing"
was released in May of 2000, & has gained much recognition for
the band throughout the last two years. During this time the band's
original demos were mastered &
released on CD format as well.
